This dataset shows the supraglacial debris areas in glacier covered areas across the state of Alaska from 1985 to 2020. These data were derived from a time series of Landsat data, supplemented with elevation data from the Alaska 5 m IfSAR digital elevation model (DEM). The spatial extent of the elevation data and the project objectives focused the study area on the state of Alaska, so glacier outlines do not extend into Canada. The dataset was published for use in the Alaska's Changing Glaciers StoryMap.
