The Kitty Faith Crib HSR was undertaken in concert with the Alaska Street Crib HSR, Goldberg Cigar Store and Confectionery HSR, and the Frye-Bruhn Cold Storage HSR conducted by the project team in 2020, with the final draft being submitted to the National Park Service in 2022. The Kitty Faith Crib is contributing resource #347 to the Skagway and White Pass District National Historic Landmark (NHL). This historic district is comprised of multiple city blocks in downtown Skagway. The district consists of well-preserved turn of the century frontier commercial buildings and outstanding examples of residential workers' housing from the same period. Some of the buildings have been moved within the district, including the Kitty Faith Crib, but this does not diminish the importance of this collection of Alaska frontier architecture. As resource #347, the building is named the Alaska Street Crib/Brass Pic. The NHL documentation noted: "Single story frame building with shingled gable roof, tongue-in-groove siding, overhanging gable and porch. Moved to site in 1981." The building was moved to its current location in 2014, and has been moved previously from several other sites in Skagway. Restoration as the recommended treatment approach will preserve and retain the building's historic character within the Period of Significance, while providing the opportunity to restore distinctive materials, features, and spaces that convey the historical significance of the building. This treatment approach would allow for the extant character-defining features of the building to be restored, while also providing the opportunity to reestablish non-extant character-defining features from the period of significance
