This data represents the scenic easement associated with Piscataway Park (PISC), part of National Capital Parks-East (NACE). The scenic easement covers the area within the legislated boundary for the park that is not owned by the National Park Service. The scenic easement was primarily established to protect the view from the Mount Vernon estate on the other side of the Potomac River. Mount Vernon is the historic home of George Washington.
