In 2016, counties in east Tennessee were flown to derive a lidar point cloud of ground elevations at approximately 8 points per square meter. In 2017, counties in west North Carolina were flown to derive a lidar point cloud of ground elevations at approximately 8 points per square meter. The lidar tiles represented in this feature service can be used to locate the most recent lidar data collection efforts in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
