Fort Wadsworth Wayside Exhibit Plan, Gateway National Recreational Area - Staten Island Unit. U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service. Harpers Ferry, West Virginia
National Park Service officials are currently negotiating to have a portion of Fort Wadsworth (former Naval Station, NY) transferred to the Staten Island Unit of Gateway National Recreation Area (NRA). In preparation for that transfer, Gateway NRA has earmarked funds for indoor and outdoor exhibits. The wayside exhibits of this plan will orient visitors to Fort Wadsworth, as well as interpret its historic resources and the nearby Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. This document shows images of the 14 planned waysides with Content, Labels, and Graphics pages for accurate text of each wayside.
