This SOP describes pre-field season procedures for monitoring stream animals in PACN parks. The procedures described here are primarily the responsibility of the PACN Field Lead (this role is filled by the PACN Lead Aquatic Biological Science Technician) who may be assisted in some tasks by the PACN Aquatic Ecologist. Included in this SOP are a description of general preparations, field season scheduling considerations, and a list of necessary supplies and equipment for sampling. The procedures described here should begin no later than three months prior to a sampling trip.
