PACN Inventory Vegetation Classification Support National Park of American Samoa, War in the Pacific NHP, American Memorial Park

Whistler A. PACN Inventory Vegetation Classification Support National Park of American Samoa, War in the Pacific NHP, American Memorial Park. 2008-2009. University of Hawaii at Manoa

The Pacific Island Network Inventory and Monitoring Program (PACN) is producing vegetation maps for the parks in the network. Vegetation classification is an essential component of the vegetation mapping process, yet many parks in the PACN lack established vegetation classification standards. Specialized assistance is needed to develop these vegetation classification standards for the National Park of American Samoa (NPSA), American Memorial Park (AMME), and War in the Pacific National Historical Park (WAPA). This project will provide technical assistance necessary to develop vegetation classifications for these parks.
