Landsat Collection 2 (C2) Level 3 (L3) Dynamic Surface Water Extent (DSWE) Algorithm Description Document (ADD)

U.S. Geological Survey. 2022. Landsat Collection 2 (C2) Level 3 (L3) Dynamic Surface Water Extent (DSWE) Algorithm Description Document (ADD). United States Geological Survey

The CHDN Dunes Protocol work group established a method for determining the surface area of Lake Lucero at White Sands National Park when water was/is present by using the Dynamic Surface Water Extent (DSWE). Instead of downloading the DSWE data products, the work group used this document to determine the algorithm needed to produce raster files indicating water presence using Landsat Collection 2 (C2) Analysis Ready Data (ARD) scenes, which were already downloaded to a local data drive.
