This SOP explains how to generate random sampling points for Pacific Island Inventory and Monitoring Network (PACN I&M) Focal Terrestrial Plant Communities (FTPC) Monitoring Protocol using ArcGIS Desktop (ArcGIS Pro 3.3.1 as of this update). Once sampling points have been generated, SOP #9 Establishing and Marking Vegetation Monitoring Plots describes how to install rectangular plots around each sampling point.
