Invasive Plant Species and Habitat Management Plan Saugus Iron Works National Historic Site, Saugus, Massachusetts
Fuchs W. 2025. Invasive Plant Species and Habitat Management Plan Saugus Iron Works National Historic Site, Saugus, Massachusetts. National Park Service
This management plan provides strategic focus for invasive plant control by identifying the places and invasive species within Saugus Iron Works National Historic Site that are highest priority for invasive species treatment. This plan was created using the Invasive Plant Species and Habitat Management Planning Process developed by Art Gover at Penn State’s Wildland Weed Management Unit (Gover 2016). This methodology was further refined by the NPS Northeast Temperate Network Inventory and Monitoring Team and Regional Invasive Plant Management Team and adapted to parks in the Metro Boston Area (Perles et al. 2021 and Shattelroe et al. 2023). The plan includes helpful references in the bibliography and detailed treatment information and prescriptions in appendices
