Regarding the Chiva Fire in the Rincon Mountain District of Saguaro National Monument in 1989, recommendations are made to limit public access to allow for natural recovery of burned area, to educate public as to why and to enforce imposed restrictions. A second memorandum outlined rehabilitation and repair plans and costs.
