Orr M. UERLA Report: 4C-NPS Internship A Write-Up and Handbook. National Park Service. National Capital Region
National Park Service Capital Region’s Urban Ecology Research Alliance (NPS UERLA) and the George Mason University Center for Climate Change Communication (4C) teamed up to offer a climate communication summer internship program geared towards junior/senior undergraduate students and graduate students training in fields relevant to climate change communication in the Park Service. The program ran for nine summers, resulting in effective communication materials for the Capital Region parks, a strong partnership between UERLA and 4C, and many quality interns who have gone on to important careers in climate and environmental communication.
