This report addresses the amphibian and wetland monitoring surveys associated with PMIS GRTE-333988. The objective of this report is to provide information concerning the distribution and abundance of amphibians throughout the area south of Moran, WY. Currently, both the Buffalo Fork and Snake Rivers are causing significant hydrologic erosion that is threatening infrastructure along Highway 26/89/191 which provides a critical transportation corridor connecting Grand Teton and Yellowstone national parks, Jackson, WY, and communities east of Togwotee Pass. Given this threat, the National Park Service, along with Federal Highways Administration (FHWA) is proposing a road construction project to reduce the risk of flooding damage to this section of highway. The information provided within the report will inform the project team about potential impacts to amphibians for each of the possible project options (improve infrastructure at the current road alignment, or the proposed realignments to the east of the current highway).
