This report summarizes the 2023 sampling season for terrestrial vegetation monitoring at Padre Island National Seashore. In 2019, I&M crews established and sampled plots for the first time, and in September 2023, they returned for the second round of sampling. A total of 32 plots were sampled in 2023. Key metrics included species richness for both native and invasive species, per-species relative frequency, and per-species percent cover in nested subplots.
