This suite of web tools was created using the NPS Enterprise GIS Portal to collect, store, and display wildlife observations that occur within the national parks of the Sierra Nevada. The tools provide: (1) an internal web and mobile form for submitting wildlife observations; (2) an interface that allows subject matter experts to vet incoming wildlife observations; and (3) an interface that allows subject matter experts to view, query, and export wildlife observations, including scientific-grade observations collected through public crowd-sourcing platforms This dashboard is for internal NPS reference only and is primarily intended for use by wildlife managers in Sierra Nevada Network Parks (Yosemite National Park, Devils Postpile National Monument, and Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks). User manuals are available for the main dashboard, the reviewer dashboard, and the data entry form. A manual is also available for web application administrators. The data presented within these tools have been aggregated from a variety of sources and represent differing degrees of quality and completeness. If citing or distributing data from the dashboard, please see the citation guide in the Wildlife Observation User Manual for information on how to reference the dataset. Access to the tools is granted through explicit permissions only. Please contact the reference owners for assistance.
