This report summarizes 2024 weekly deposition data and trends in annual deposition data from 2018–2024 for the National Atmospheric Deposition Program National Trends Network at site AK97. This site is part of a network of greater than 250 sites across the US that sites that measure inorganic precipitation chemistry in weekly samples to track deposition of acid rain constituents. The National Park Service has 35 NTN collectors and rain gauges in parks to help understand risk to ecosystems and to provide data to guide management decisions. Samples are collected every Tuesday and sent to the NADP Analytical Laboratory for analysis, data entry, verification, screening, and posting to the NADP website. It also provides information on whether or not the annual data meet quality assurance criteria to calculate an accurate estimate of total deposition.
