Sonoran Desert, Chihuahuan Desert, and Southern Plains Networks Groundwater Monitoring Protocol SOP #9: Data Management (version 1.1) describes the procedures for managing and maintaining data collected by the groundwater monitoring protocol for the Sonoran Desert Network (SODN), Southern Plains Network (SOPN) and Chihuahuan Desert Network (CHDN). The SOP was developed in accordance with strategies and guidance for data processing and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) specified in the network data management plan (Angell 2005). The instructions are presented within the framework of the typical annual workflow for a monitoring project, which includes three phases: (1) implementation, (2) product integration, and (3) evaluation and closure. Staff role(s) primarily responsible for ensuring the completion of each step are indicated in parentheses.
