Fire effects monitoring data collected at Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Ohio. The data were collected during summer field seasons from 2012 to 2024 by the Fire Effects Monitoring Crew based in Shenandoah National Park. Data include Fire Monitoring Handbook (FMH) plots for grasslands (2012-2024) and forests (2024). Data collected from 30-m grassland transects include species richness and point intercept data used to obtain vegetation percent cover and height. Data collected from 50 x 20 m forest plots include tree inventory to obtain density and basal area, fuel load using Brown's method for inventorying surface fuels and biomass, seedling density, as well as 50-m point intercept transects. Photographs were taken at each plot to document change.
