NPS Internal Use Only. This Data Release Report describes a dataset of locations of raptor nests, including Bald eagles, Golden eagles, Gyrfalcons and Peregrine Falcons, in Wrangell - St. Elias National Park and Preserve as observed in, or prior to, 1998. The data were discovered during data mining as part of the development of the NPS Central Alaska Inventory and Monitoring Network early in the 2000s. The data were not used or archived in the NPS Data Store at that time. Data collection methods are not included in this report, but may be available from documentation held at WRST, or in the NPS Data Store. The data are described here anticipating their usefulness in the future. Actual nest observation dates are not constrained by the data, but the file properties reveal that the source data file was created in 1998.
