This project analyzed radio-collar data, genetic samples, and health testing results for reintroduced Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep in Dinosaur National Monument between 2006-2020. Specifically this study looked at abundance, distribution, genetic structure and diversity, habitat use, movement and connectivity, and presence of exposure to respiratory pathogens. The findings provide a framework for evaluating metapopulation processes and offer practical guidance for conservation and management of bighorn sheep populations facing similar ecological and health challenges.
