National Park Service Northeast Region Aerial White-Tailed Deer Survey, March 2026b

Boulanger J . 2026. National Park Service Northeast Region Aerial White-Tailed Deer Survey, March 2026b. National Park Service

This report describes methods and results for UAS-based infrared deer surveys conducted in 9 northeastern park units in March 2026. Park units: FLNI, FONE, FRHI, FRSP, GATE, HOFU, MORR, RICH, and SARA. The method was overall cost-effective and generated a near-census in many parks. Technical difficulties limited surveys for FLNI and SARA, and terrain limited surveys in MORR and FONE.
