The document describes the study area, habitats, benthos, etc and the fishery, with estimated catch and effects of fishing on the fishery resource. "This study was designed to characterize the marine biological community in terms of its major components as broadly and quantitatively as feasible, and specifically, to examine the nature and extent of the fishery and attempt to estimate its effects on the resources." Included in this report are a description of the study area (including location, surroundings, habitats and locations of these studies); characterization of animal communities, including benthos (substrate/sessile invertebrates, megainvertebrates including echinoderms, lobsters, other large crustaceans and mollusks); turtles; and fish (community description, abundance, distribution, diet, and sexual maturity). The fishery is also described, including methods used to collect data, fishermen and gear, level of fishing effort, estimated catch (including CPUE), and the effects of fishing on the resources.
