Community Diversity of Coastal Plain Vegetation in Southeast Texas Big Thicket

Marks PL and Harcombe PA. 1975. Community Diversity of Coastal Plain Vegetation in Southeast Texas Big Thicket

Abstract: 'Data from forests on the coastal plain of southeast Texas indicate high values of both within- and between-habitat components of diversity for woody species. High shrub diversity, and evolution of a high degree of species habitat difference along a moisture gradient of low relief, are responsible for high within- and between-habitat diversity.'
