Census of birds done by walking and canoeing along transects. 'It is the purposed of this report to present quantitative estimates of avian populations in four forest communities in the 'Big Thicket' area of southeastern Texas during the spring season (March, April, and May 1976). Data analyzed will include species diversity, species variety, number of individuals detected and density of individuals'.
