This article compared the botanical composition of the diets of elk (Cervus elaphus) wintering in burned and unburned sections of the Jemez Mountains, NM. Fecal material was analyzed for plant species, crude protein, and digestibility. Fecal pellets were collected in the Valles Caldera and areas of the La Mesa Fire.
