Erpobdella montezuma, a predaceous leech was monitored at Montezuma Well, for one year. It's prey, Hyalella montezuma, maintained high densities in the subsurface strata of the well during the day, but migrated closer to the surface after sunset. E. montezuma migrated to higher levels at night to feed of the H. montezuma.
