The National Park Service began an attempt to control dwarf mistletoe infestation of ponderosa pine on the South Rim in 1949. This paper describes the control effort, and compares the treated and untreated stands after 20 years. The goal to reduce the level of dwarf mistletoe has been successful and recommendations are summarized.
