This report on the daily patterns of activity by Marbled Murrelets covers their range (California to Alaska). Several of the sites are within Redwood National Park. The authors discuss results in terms of general daily activity patterns, morning and evening activity, effects of weather on activities, and morning variation in behaviors, vocalization, and group size. Application of study results to future surveys is mentioned. The report contains a table of mean detection times in relation to sunrise, and 4 figures (charts and graphs of detection times).
