The Geographic Information System (GIS) techniques and statistical analysis were combined to create two debris slide susceptibility maps of the Mount LeConte-Newfound Gap area. Factors determining the potential for slope failure were the geology, the slope angle, slope aspect, slope form, distance from the crest, and precipitation. Logistic regression was the method that proved most useful in producing the slide susceptibility maps.
