This paper describes the rehabilitation program at Redwood National Park for logged lands in the Redwood Creek basin. The authors discuss methods and the evolution over the years of work toward restoration of more-natural conditions and reduction of erosion. Use of heavy equipment for initial restructuring produced the best long-term results at least cost. Lessons learned through efforts in Redwood Creek are widely applicable.
