Bailey RM and Bond CE. 1963. Four new species of freshwater sculpins, genus Cottus, from western North America. Occasional Papers of the Museum of Zoology, University of Michigan, No 634. Museum of Zoology, University of Michigan
This paper describes four new species of sculpin (Cottus spp.) None of the four species occur within Intermountain Region parks. It also modifies the generic and specific relationships of several species. Species formerly known as C. bendirei and C. hubbsi are now synonymized with C. bairdi; similarly, C. annae and C. tubulatus are synonymized with C. beldingi. (Shorthead sculpin listed for Glacier National Park.)
