This report summarizes field work conducted for 18 months starting in 1981, on riparian habitats along the North Fork and mainstem of the Flathead River. The study focused primarily on the fauna and plant communities of the riparian zone, i.e., those areas either on, or on terraces adjacent to the floodplains of the North Fork and mainstem of the Flathead River.
