Climate-Landscape Interactions on a Mountain Ecosystem Transect (CLIMET)
Peterson DL and Fagre DB. Climate-Landscape Interactions on a Mountain Ecosystem Transect (CLIMET)
"Our studies will determine how mountain protected areas along a transect from western Washington to western Montana are affected by climatic variability." The program focuses on three research questions: (1) the impacts of spatial and climatic variability on critical plant resources and species distribution (2) the impacts of climatic variability on ecosystem processes and natural resources (3) how do different levels and types of disturbance influence landscape patterns and the sensitivity of ecosystems to climatic variability?
