This paper discusses two studies done on berry production in high elevation forest. One was done in the Madison Range of southwestern Montana, while the other was done in Glacier National Park (GNP), and the adjacent Whitefish Mountain range of northwestern Montana. The focus in the Madison Range was on whortleberry, while in GNP it was on huckleberry.
