Floristic survey of eight wetlands Glacier National Park

DeSanto J. 1998. Floristic survey of eight wetlands Glacier National Park

This report describes plants found at eight wetlands in the Waterton River, Belly River and North Fork Flathead River drainages in Glacier National Park. Some of the wetlands had been studied 30-40 years ago (primarily by Dr. Prescott and students from the Univ. of MT''s Yellow Bay Biological Station). Three of the wetlands are ombotrophic bogs, two are fens, one is a swamp; one defies classification; and one is not a wetland, but a canyon with a perennial stream. The majority of field work was focussed in Olson Creek Canyon.
