From the Article Summary: The geomorphic activity on subalpine avalanche paths is examined in the context of past and present climogeomorphic regimes. Evidence of change in meso-scale landforms, sediment yield, responding soil development, and microscale sediment cascades are examined. The distinct topographic form of subalpine avalanche paths must be due to activity during earlier, possibly paraglacial, periods of the Holocene.
