"This paper reports the methods and preliminary results of systematic ground surveys for bear sign carried out in Glacier N.P. between 1984 and 1988." Bear sign included tracks, feces, trees stripped of bark, diggings and bear trails. Includes maps showing trails that were surveyed and graphs showing the elevation of the survey trails.
