Mclellan BN and Shackleton DM. 1989. Grizzly Bears and Resource-Extraction Industries: Habitat Displacement in Response to Seismic Exploration, Timber Harvesting and Road Maintenance. Journal of Applied Ecology. 26(2):371-380
In this paper data is presented on the reactions of grizzly bears to specific industrial activities: seismic exploration, timber harvesting and road maintenance. The primary focus of this study was to quantify the degree to which grizzly bears were displaced from important habitats by the different industrial activities.
