Transplantings of black bears evaluated for what contributes to transplant success. Data on the transplanting of 101 black bears (Ursus americanus) on 155 occasions between 1967 and 1976 in Glacier National Park were evaluated to examine the homing behavior of transplanted black bears and to identify factors that contribute to transplant success.
