In response to plans to allow a sewage treatment conduit across NPS land, this study was conducted as a baseline assessment of wetlands along the Potomac River and Piscataway Creek. Chapters of the report are 1) Introduction, 2) Vegetation survey, wetlands mapping, and soils, 3) Phytoplankton and periphyton, 4) Zooplankton, 5) Hydrological Studies, 6) Benthic invertebrate studies, 7) Fish population studies, 8) Vertebrate studies, 9) Chemistry and geochemistry. Data and analyses beyond the scope of the results presentations are included in the appendices.
