This is an account of animals and birds found at the mouth of Frijoles Canyon and Alamo Canyon during the summer of 1975, prior to filling the Cochiti Reservoir. The amphibians section gives common and scientific names, frequency of sightings, and a checklist. The bird section lists summer birds of Bandelier National Monument and their relative abundance. The mammal section lists the occurrence of larger mammals, densities of small mammals (common and scientific names), and has maps of the trapping locations of the small mammals. The fourth and final section is an assessment of the effects of filling Cochiti Reservoir on wildlife in Bandelier National Monument.
