During the summer of 1976, an ecological invertory was conducted of the Weir Nature Preserve, owned by The Nature Conservancy of Connecticut and located in Wilton CT. This document is the report of that inventory which was part of the Student Internship Program and was sponsored by the Connecticut Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. The inventory was conducted by six students from various colleges (Peterson, Jefferey C.; Mahoney, Elizabeth A.; Philliips, Earl W.; Klein Lisa I.; Alpert, Arnold Z.; Breslav, Marc A.) and one soil scientist. It includes sections on the history, physical environment (geology, soils, water), vegetation and flora, fauna, present use and surrounding activity, and management considerations of the 37 acre Preserve. It includes species lists of flora and fauna and also maps of the area.
