Walking transects and permanent plots were surveyed in 1990 as well as permanent transects monitoring the dynamics of establishment and migration of prairie forbs. Controlled burning was carried out in the spring of 1990 and effects on the vegetation were noted. The level of dominance of prairie and alien species is of special concern.
