1990 Redwood Creek summer steelhead trout survey

Anderson DG. 1990. 1990 Redwood Creek summer steelhead trout survey. Redwood National Park

Annual surveys in this series provide quantitative data on steelhead trout spawning in streams of the Redwood Creek basin. In this 10th year of surveying, snorkelers found only 14 steelhead, far fewer than in the mid-1980's, but better than none in 1989. This was a low water year, and all the fish seen were in pools. Includes tables of total steelhead numbers (1981-1990), individual descriptions of the fish seen in 1990 and their habitat, table of water temperatures at each reach or tributary, and a map with locations of sightings.
