Study of four populations of small rodents in Indian Cove provides information on their behavior and survival in times of ecological stress (limited food availability). Survival is increased through ecological stratification among the species (diversity of food and times of activity), dormancy patterns of some species, times of reproduction, and adjustment of home ranges. Data shown in tables include rainfall, perennial plant coverage and production, rodent density, capture data, and home range data.
