"We shall analyze the most conspicuous process by which cattle have damaged pure koa forests in past decades on the middle slopes (4000 to 6000 feet) of Mauna Loa in Hawaii National Park. This process is the suppression of koa reproduction by grazing." Tables give size classes of koa and number of koa plants by size classes on plots of different grazing history. Includes small black & white photographs of areas.
