This report describes the groundwater system associated with Devils Hole, and the present and expected effects of pumping the alluvial or carbonate-rock systems. The National Park Service had requested the study because of potential decreases in the Devils Hole pool, which could threaten the survival of endangered Devils Hole pupfish. The geology and water quality are described. Folded plates are a map of the tributary area of Amargosa Desert and a hydrologic map showing wells, springs, and generalized water-level contours in 1962. (Geologic map is not present; 4th plate is an original black-and-white print showing the opening at Devils Hole.)
