Effect of Introduced Crayfish and Mosquitofish on California Newts

Ten streams in the Santa Monica Mountains were surveyed to determine if introduced predators have caused the decline of the California newt. While California newt larvae have anti-predator adaptations to native predators, it was determined that the introduced predators were not similarly discouraged.
