This study is related to a study of the effect of ozone (O3) air pollution on common milkweed (Asclepias syriaca) conducted by the Air Quality Division of the National Park Service in which HOME (Homestead National Monument) was a participating site. This study looks at the effects of ozone damaged milkweed (Asclepias syriaca) and bloodflower (Asclepias curassavica) on the growth and reproduction of the monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus) which uses these plants as hosts.
