Effects of Pollution Effluents on Two Successive Tributaries and Village Creek in Southeastern Texas

Barclay CM and Harrel RC. 1985. Effects of Pollution Effluents on Two Successive Tributaries and Village Creek in Southeastern Texas. Texas Journal of Science. 37(2&3):165-188

Looked at water quality and macrobenthos in 3 streams (1 in, and 2 near Big Thicket National Preserve). Found fewer species in polluted streams. Includes tables of water quality data: water temperature, oxygen, BOD (biochemical oxygen demand), CO2, alkalinity, pH, specific conductance, turbidity, PO4-3 (orthophosphate), NH4+ (ammonia), NO3- (nitrate), SO4-2 (sulfate), TFR (total filterable residue), TNR (total nonfiltrable residue). List of macrobenthos and number found at each station.
